SunsetBlue Sunset Aperture is a film production company founded by James Hughes in January 2016 to produce thought-provoking short films and features for the international market place.

The first of their productions, The Velvet Abstract, is a short environmental film produced on six continents and featuring talent from The Hunger Games, Avatar, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Martian, and many more. The film is narrated by Tobias Menzies and has been scored by the world-renowned Composer Jean-Pascal BeintusIt is currently on the film festival circuit.

Sunset Aperture immediately followed up this ambitious film, with The Inuring. Shot across one day at Cherryduck Studios in March 2016, The Inuring recently had its world premiere in London, and will be on release across the festival circuit in 2017.

In early 2017 Sunset Aperture will begin pre-production on their debut feature film, a feature length version of The Inuring, expanding on the short, to explore the full story of Aleisha. More details about The Inuring feature film will be published on this website early next year.
