JamesHughes James Hughes has Directed for TV, Stage and Short Film.

He was also hired to be a Speaker for the Screenwriting Expo in Hollywood, where he taught a popular class on short filmmaking to students from around the world.

For the last three years he has been hired by the London Screenwriters’ Festival to be a Director for their Actor Table Reads where he has directed over thirty-five sessions with some of the leading actors in the Industry.

Along with this, he serves on the Writers’ Guild Film Committee.

His current short film, The Velvet Abstract, has been produced on six continents, and features CG and animating talent from The Hunger Games, Star Wars, Avatar, Game of Thrones, The Martian, and many more. This environmental film is narrated by Tobias Menzies and has been scored by the world-renowned Composer Jean-Pascal Beintus. The film has won 8 awards to date, including 7 for Best Film.

James followed this with The Inuring which has already won 13 awards to date, including Best UK Short FilmBest Director, twice, Best Narrative Short Film, and Best in Show.
